The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is the largest law enforcement agency in Palm Beach County, providing police services for an estimated patrol district population of 760,000. Overseeing fifteen districts, two detention centers and a Community Services Division, the Sheriff’s Office is comprised of 4,300 total employees, including 1,700 sworn deputies, 980 correction officers and more than 1,500 civilians, along with thousands of local volunteers. PBSO has six departments – Legal Affairs, Field Operations, Community Operations, Corrections, Support Services, and Administrative Services. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office has an adopted budget of $534,366,260 for fiscal year 2015.
